Don't make too many yet, I have to work out the pixel dimensions of the poster. And adding text over the image in-game is fairly simple. In a variety of fonts and font sizes, colors...
I wonder if dozens and dozens of 'pieces' of poster elements with transparency can be created, and then married together to form different images. Can you post a "Dragon" image with everything not the dragon being transparent?
Then players could build a poster from a multitude of images.

It is possible. On this one example in this post, it may look a little bad. But other images may look better. I use the free version of Leonard.ai. I get 150 credits every 24 hours. For these better looking pictures, I generate 4 images for 20 credits. It is 2 credits to remove the background into a png file. So I would only be able to generate a few images every 24 hours. The image resolution is set to 768 px by 512 px which is kinda high probably. Here is another one that I removed the background on. But maybe you have a way of choosing custom backgrounds to custom forground image and then title and such... I'm not good with image editing/resolution stuff. Lol.

These are both terrific. Congratulations.
The size (in pixels) of Posters is more of a late-game development decision for me, because I have to decide what the final product will look like. By that I mean how the game will display all of the posters (and maybe all of the opening credits) from all of the movies you have made. But it will be smaller than what you are making now. Maybe make a few at 300x400 pixels and see if the quality holds up to your satisfaction. 300x400 is much closer to something that might be available in-game.
A ton of transparent images in a variety of subjects would allow players to create their own posters in-game. Another thing to think about is a naming protocol, so they are easily sorted and searched. Perhaps you can get a crew and teach them all how to do what you're doing. Many hands ... and all that. But I would not start creating images until the final size is decided.
And to answer you earlier question, I'll make a point of allowing players to import a 'poster' from disk in either png or jpg format, as long as it matches the still-to-be-decided pixel size for Posters.
But great work so far.

Thanks, glad you like it, and I think it would be an excellent feature in the game. I like your idea of using a naming protocol, It would be fun to produce these images. Could try to get images for every possible movie genre out there (within reason of course). Could make them png with transparent backgrounds. If anyone wants to learn I would be willing to assist. But yeah, I can see that it's best to wait until late development to determine the pixel size. So Leonardo.ai can only make this style of images for minimum 512x512 pixels, this is an example in jpg and png: I manually edited the png down to 300x400: I'm not very good with image editing but this is the 300x400 size.
