In HM4 I went with very, very, very simple design. NO GRAPHICS. Just text ... you'll see ... Like in HM2.5? I hope so. Fingers crossed.

Crazy thing is I prefer it over HM3 and have played since I was about 10 or 11. I’m now 32. Its so hard getting version 1 these days. Just lost it today while trying to reset my windows 11.

I am undecided about pic talent. That's not really what I mean by 'graphics.' What I mean is ... it's a text-based game and that's all that will display. I think talent pics add to the game ... but they also create issues for me with regard to the talent aging. I don't know what to do about it. I just let it happen in HM3, but I am aware that it looks odd that 80 years into a game, you can still hire an actor whose picture looks like he's 22. The easiest way to solve that is no talent pics. I'm also aware that talent pics add immersion to the game.
One thing I am thinking about ... you can only play for 25 years. Or 50 years. That softens the issue, but doesn't really solve it.
If you have a good idea in this area, I am all ears.

hmdesigner Yes please add the pic talent feature it's needed for immersion of the game. I think 50 years tops is great.

@ hmdesigner I really love this game (playing in for over 10 years!) and i feel really excited about the news that ΗΜ4 is going to be released. But... PLEASE do not remove the pic talent option. It really adds to the game, it is not going to be the same without it. As for the playing period, 50 yeare is ok but 100 years is not a problem also. Personally i always choose to disable the aging feature, so i can play for as many years i like with the same actor pool without worrying about their age or appearance.

Yes, I agree. The pic talents need to be in the game. Or make it so the community can add pic talents. I don't care if I hire Millie Bobby Brown if she was 80 years old in the game, but her pic is from when she was 18. It's more of having a representation of that actor/actress's name and picture that makes the game fun to play! I would love a 50 year play-through at least.

I think with AI-generated portraits it's fairly manageable to create multiple images of the same character at various ages. Of course there will be some limitations but the tools to do so are becoming more robust by the month.
